Driveway Alarms! They Do Exist! *Gasp*

driveway-alarms-they-do-exist-gasp

When we first moved into our house one of the sales individuals to stop by was with an alarm company. Given the price that he was offering we were going to turn down the offer, but he managed to lower it enough that we just couldn’t resist. So now we have an alarm instead in our home, though if I’m truthful we hardly ever utilize it. I know it’s a HUGE waste, but it’s such a pain in the ass to have to set every night and then remember to turn off in the morning before Robby runs out the door.

One of the security features Robby wanted to install were driveway lights which light up when someone approaches the home. That got me to thinking is there a such thing as a driveway alarm and if so how does it actually work? I mean I would suspect that they do exist, but would have no clue why someone would feel the need to have one installed. Anyone care to share their thoughts on this?

You know, I presume there is… In the same vein as the motion-activated flood light, I’d guess that there’d be a feature kind of like a doorbell to notify you if something is in the area of your driveway. It would seem to make sense heh.
